Meet Cormac Buchanan, an 18-year-old Southland motorcycle racer who's already making history. After a successful season overseas in 2024, in 2025 he’ll be the first New Zealander to compete full-time in the FIM Moto3 World Championship, a huge achievement that places him alongside the world’s best riders. We’re proud to have Cormac as one of our voices for Street Smart, helping to promote safe driving and smart choices on the road.

A young driver shares their experience with the Street Smart programme, revealing what they thought of the hands-on training.

Mitre 10 MEGA Wānaka supports Street Smart and the Tony Quinn Foundation by donating road cones for driver training tool kits at Taupo Motorsport Park and Hampton Downs Motorsport Park.

It is a shared commitment to helping Kiwis stay safe on the road that has seen Subaru of New Zealand partner with Street Smart, providing control vehicles for the Street Smart team to use during the best-practice driver training programme.

A massive thank you to the attendees, caregivers, coaches, volunteers and Street Smart partners for an incredible two days as we relaunched Street Smart driven by the Tony Quinn Foundation. On Tuesday we were lucky enough to be joined by Michael Holland from Seven Sharp.

As part of Road Safety Week, Street Smart excited to announce all 2024 and 2025 for Hampton Downs Motorsport Park, Taupo International Motorsport Park and Highlands Motorsport Park, thanks to the Tony Quinn Foundation.

The Tony Quinn Foundation, Road Safety, will provide a $750,000 three-year support package to partner and fund the driver education programme Street Smart.
